In a Japanese Village, there is a tradition called Mura Shibai. Mura Shibai means a traditional play acted by local people in village who usually work as farmers. The plays are shown as a part of a festival held in their village. These plays (their scripts and acting style) are based on Kabuki, which is a traditional Japanese theatre tradition that includes singing, dancing and miming. Though they now face problems of depopulation, the actors and spectators continue to keep their village tradition alive, acknowledging that in participating in Mura Shibai they are able to experience a sense of belonging to their land.
